The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is developing a Master Plan to define the community’s vision and guide the department’s direction for the next ten years and beyond. With the substantial growth and change in the community over the years, an updated Master Plan is essential for the future of Phoenix and its 1.7 million residents.

Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the United States. It’s a vibrant, growing city and a great place to live, work, and play! Phoenix provides residents and visitors with 186 parks, 33 community and recreation centers, eight golf courses, and 29 public pools. The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to building healthy communities through its recreation facilities, park spaces, programs, and services.

The Parks and Recreation Master Plan will include several focus areas. Most importantly, it provides an opportunity for meaningful engagement with the community.

Your Voice Matters

The Parks Master Plan is driven by access, equity and community. With focus areas like water conservation, crime prevention, safety, neighborhood demographics, and recreation trends, you can help us think outside the park. There are many ways to share your experiences and ideas.
